| There are no Deep Purple mk.1 songbooks, so the only 'official' sources for their lyrics have come from the sheet music once available for a few tracks, and the lyric sheets inserted into Japanese Warner Bros. albums. The latter were transcribed from the vinyl, and were often inaccurate. They were improved upon by a set of lyric sheets made by the DPAS some years ago. The lyrics presented here were put together to get them as close as possible to 100% correct. They also include the bonus tracks from EMI's remastered cds.
