  2. Just for the history, did you know that the Greek navy NEVER, i repeat, NEVER lost a battle, or changed flags, through the 5000+ years of the Hellenic shipping??
Instead, the Greek army has been defeated many times, and some of those times were fatal for the Greek history, land and country..

  4. Also, an information which is referred at the past, which the Spanish and the Portuguese never wanted to be revealed: Their big trips and their explorations, including Americas, Indian and Pacific islands would never been realized without the help of the captains and sailors from Greece (and some Grikos from Italy) who joined their navy, because of their experience on such missions, even if the governments had changed their names from greek to spanish or portuguese... They were really lucky, because Greece, and her navy, those dark times between 1451-1821 was occupied by the ottomans and she was struggling for freedom against islam, a freedom who came in 1829 finally.. If Greece was independent those times, well, I'm sorry to say this, but all those great discoveries would belong to us!!!! :O
    Amazing huh?!?!?
